Cantina Sampietrana, Settebraccia 2019

Cantina Sampietrana have been making supremely drinkable wines in the heart of Brindisi, the heel of Italy's boot, since 1952. Using sustainable farming practices and hand-harvesting only, they are able to ensure the quality of fruit needed to produce the refined wines for which they're known. Settebraccia 2019 is a blend of Negroamaro and Susumaniello; both taken from old-vine sites for added intensity and complexity of fruit. Elegant, enveloping notes of bramble, strawberry and vanilla are on the nose which move to a rich palate with further flavours of baking spice, vanilla and black plum. A superb wine to pair with hard cheeses and richly spiced lamb dishes.
